We went out for a walk in the beautiful snow covered town of Berneck last night and walked on one of hundreds of walking trails through the vineyards surrounding the hills around town. Hard to get good photos with my camera but there are a few cool ones. We plan on doing a daytime walk to get some better pics but these are neat anyhow. One picture is of an Inn that we walked past that was quite beautiful and the view from the vineyards overlooking the town was AMAZING!! Literally breathtaking.
Later today we are heading out for our drive to the mountains to a small village called Appenzell (see the map) which should quench Mike`s desire for some real mountains. :-)
Also check out the picture of Mike with his new favourite beer that costs $5-6 for a case of 8 beers that come in the old bottles. Just FYI - we`ve all decided that although the Samiclaus (Santa Claus) beer was a good concept the actual beer was gross...very sweet. It honestly did taste better with chocolate though...who knew. Good reason why it`s only brewed once a year. A cool pic of some mayo too which looks like a giant tube of toothpaste! (Lianne)
